I thought that it was ILLEGAL to charge someone for a service they haven't used? I have t-mobile and their towers are down in my area so therefore at home I can't use my phone at all! I get text messages but cant send them I don't even get incoming our outgoing phone calls. Oh get this since we pay the month before our service starts we have to wait till march 2nd to cancel our account. At least the ppl waived the termination fee since it wasn't our fault it was theirs. They even said that on the 30th the engineer REFUSED to check on the tower after getting complaints! Does anyone have any suggestions on service providers?

Amber with capital A, If you have a monthly plan for your phone, then they can charge you for the whole month even if you don't use the service for the entire month. That's why wireless providers' charges are prorated. Feel lucky that al least they let you out of paying the cancellation fees.

Well they really couldn't have charged me if it was their own fault. Their tower and network is down due to their own fault not mine.

Amber, I used to have T-mobile and know exactly what you are going through. I have used T-mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular. AT&T has good rates but your deposits are absolutely ridiculous. Verizon is ok if you don't plan on traveling into little towns as they don't have good coverage in them. I am currently using U.S. Cellular. I have no credit and I only had to pay $25 deposit per line. You do pay a month ahead, but they have reasonable plans. I pay $69.99 a month for 1000 minutes and two lines.
